SantanderSign: Secure Authorization App for Santander Customers
SantanderSign is a free iPhone app developed by Santander Consumer Bank AG. It is designed to provide secure authorization for online banking transactions for Santander customers in Germany. The app allows users to review and approve transactions made through online banking or the mobile banking app. Transactions requiring authorization are displayed in the SantanderSign app and can be approved using fingerprint, facial recognition, or by entering the personal password.
By downloading the SantanderSign app and the mobile banking app on your smartphone, you gain the flexibility to perform your banking transactions on the go. The activation process requires your online banking credentials for setup.
The app incorporates a two-factor authentication process to ensure the security of your mobile banking transactions. This feature is mandated by the PSD2 regulation (European Payment Services Directive) since September 2019, and it is mandatory for banks in the EU.
